Sometimes we release early versions of new features that we want to test and get feedback on. These are available and can be enabled from System Settings > Advanced > Experimental.

  • (New in Studio 4.4) Notes board – allows the user to get an overview of notes with their context. E.g. to see notes for departments animation, lighting, and rendering in separate columns next to the corresponding shot. When enabled the new widget can be created from Overview > Create dashboard.

  • (New in Studio 4.10) Split tasks – allows the user to split an assignment (a Task) into several smaller segments.

  • (New in Studio 4.10) New client review player – upcoming version of the client review interface with an improved workflow for notes and annotations, ghosting, flip and flop, redesigned toolbar, larger media window, collapsible sidebar, and more.

  • (New in Studio 4.10) New Web player –upcoming version of the player experience when playing versions and lists and selections.

  • (New in Studio 4.10) [Enterprise] Status permissions – the experimental setting for Status permissions available on the Enterprise plan. Allows administrators to control how different roles may transition between statuses.

These features are experimental and are not yet ready for wide use, but we would like to share them with you to get your feedback. They may contain bugs, change or disappear without notice.
