Configuring encoding

The quality of files encoded by the ftrack server can be specified in System settings ‣ ftrackreview ‣ Review settings. Available options are:

  1. Highly compressed
  2. Acceptable quality
  3. Good quality
  4. Great quality
  5. Nearly lossless

Higher quality setting will increase the loading time when viewing videos in ftrackreview and client reviews and will increase space used on cloud storage. Using the highest setting may cause playback issues when using a network connection with insufficient bandwidth.
