This article is applicable to hosted ftrack instances on Studio 4.5 and higher. On-premise ftrack installations should refer to the Managing a local installation article.

Using ftrack Studio, you can review videos, images, and PDFs.

Uploading images and videos to your server generates proxies for review:

  • Videos – Uploading videos will, depending on the resolution of a source media encode a 700p and a 1080p proxy. If your source media has a resolution below 1080p only the 700p proxy is encoded.
Upgrade to Review Pro to unlock 1440p (2k) and 2160p (4k) playback proxies.

  • Images – Images will never scale up but will scale down to a maximum of 8192px in vertical/horizontal resolution.

ftrack Studio supports a wide range of formats:

Image formats: jpg, jpeg, tiff, tif, png, webp, bmp, arw, nef, orf, rw2, ai, svg, eps, pdf, psd, dicom, cr2, dcm, gif
